Council has passed its draft 2019-20 Municipal Plan and Budget and is inviting community comment.

Key highlights of the budget include:

  • Almost $5.6 million to be spent on roads
  • $92,000 for Community Grants and Sponsorship
  • $155,000 for future plans including Council land use and more connected paths
  • $1.1 million for Litchfield's seven Recreation Reserves
  • 5% rate revenue increase contributing to capital projects, road and infrastructure assets

Draft Long-Term Financial Plan 2019-20 to 2028-29

The Draft Long-Term Financial Plan is designed to ensure that the financial sustainability of Litchfield Council continues to improve over the next 10 years by supporting sound financial decision making.

Sustainability in the context of Litchfield means the community has well maintained facilities and infrastructure and receives good quality services at an affordable level of property rates both now and into the future.

Council would like feedback from the community.

All submissions will be considered at the Council Meeting Wednesday 26 June 2019.
